Portable massage chairs
The main difference between a portable massage chair and a massage table , is the fact that the client is almost always sitting instead of lying down during a treatment. At ZenGrowth we only offer products that offer maximum comfort to your clients.
We have compiled our tips for buying a massage chair in a detailed buying guide for you!
High quality portable and foldable massage chairs
According to American research (2014), 59% of all chair massage therapists spend at least a small part of their time on-site at companies or at clients' homes. The great advantage of our portable, mobile massage chairs is that they weigh no more than 10 kg. Our lightest massage chair weighs even less than 7 kg! This makes it easy to take the chair with you wherever you go. Using a massage chair while working on-site is not only comfortable but also convenient and efficient!
The included carrying bag makes it easy to transport the massage chair. Some chairs even come with a convenient wheeled case. Everything is designed to ensure your massage chair is as portable as possible. All our massage chairs can be set up in under a minute. They are easy to assemble, and no loose parts are involved.
What should I pay attention to when buying a portable massage chair?
As a chair massage therapist, you want to perform your work professionally. A good massage chair is essential for this. But how do you know what makes a good massage chair? There are several factors to consider:
- Weight & Build - As mentioned earlier, a massage chair should weigh no more than 10 kg. Additionally, it should be easy to set up quickly.
- Adjustability - Everyone is different. What is comfortable for one person might be uncomfortable for another. Therefore, adjustable seating, headrests, armrests, and a customizable chest cushion are crucial for your client’s comfort.
- Weight Capacity & Stability - A massage chair needs to be sturdy and stable, so it doesn’t creak or squeak during the treatment. Look for a massage chair with non-slip feet. A good indicator of a chair’s sturdiness is its weight capacity. Always choose a massage chair with a weight capacity of at least 130 kg.
- Dimensions - A characteristic of cheaper massage chairs is that they are often too small. Therefore, pay close attention to the dimensions of each cushion on a massage chair. A chair that is too small is uncomfortable for both the client and the therapist.
- Padding & Upholstery - The thickness of the padding and the type of upholstery on the cushions greatly affects comfort during a treatment. Upholstery made of PU leather is generally more comfortable than one made of PVC vinyl.
- Hygiene - Hygiene is crucial for a massage chair. It should be easy to clean thoroughly. Ideally, it should be possible to clean with water. Therefore, a smooth, waterproof upholstery is preferred.
In addition to these factors, it is also important to consider the warranty on the massage chair. A long warranty period is a sign that the chair is built to last for years. Massage chairs at Zengrowth come with at least a 2-year manufacturer's warranty, ensuring you can use them for a long time.
